who’s coming?

Special anniversaries are once-in-a-lifetime events, and the guests are likely to range in age from 8 to 80! In addition to close friends and family, also consider inviting long-lost friends and members of the original wedding party to make the occasion really meaningful. (If people will be traveling a long distance, send out save-the-date cards well in advance so travel plans can be made.)

a warm welcome

Create a signature mocktail for the event to serve guests as they arrive. We love the elegant look and refreshing taste of our First Crush. Rename it to honor the special couple and add a few rose petals to the glass.

the cake

No anniversary celebration would be complete without a show-stopping cake. Use the cake topper from your honored guests’ original wedding cake if they have one, or arrange pretty flowers or miniature fruit on the cake. Invite the anniversary couple cut the cake together. With the cake, serve Fre Moscato—it’s lush aromas and delicately sweet flavors beautifully complement desserts.

special gifts

Create a photo book or scrapbook featuring old photos and special mementos.

memory lane

This is the time to dig up old photos and have old wedding films and videos transferred to the latest technology. Display wedding day photos along with other family photos in collages, or choose a few special images and have them framed. A collection of framed photos looks great as a table centerpiece, or at the entrance to the party. Set out a guest book for guests to wish the couple well.

on the menu

Depending on the size of your guest list, you may opt for a sit-down dinner or a buffet. Either way, make sure the menu features some of the guests of honor’s favorites. If you’re feeling especially creative and nostalgic, recreate the wedding menu! Otherwise, go grand with an herb-crusted prime rib served with whipped potatoes or grilled salmon with mushroom risotto poured with our elegant Fre Merlot. Turkey with all the trimmings and glazed ham are amazing with Fre Chardonnay. For more information about pairing Fre with food, click here.

the toast

Before the toast, pop the cork on some cold Fre Brut and hand out glasses to everyone. Add color to your speech by creating a slideshow, or by showing old wedding films. There won’t be a dry eye in the room!
